You Shouldn’t Have Come Here is what everyone keeps telling Grace Evans after checking into her Airbnb. Everyone except Calvin Wells, the owner of the ranch she’s staying at. There is an immediate connection between them, and it doesn’t take long before a romance begins. However, Grace can’t shake the feeling that something isn’t right, which is only magnified when the sheriff comes by repeatedly, looking for the last girl to supposedly stay at Calvin’s home. He denies she ever showed up, and Grace wants to believe him. But all secrets come out eventually, and sometimes from the most unexpected places.
If you were ever thinking about staying at or hosting an Airbnb, you might want to rethink that, or at least don’t read this book. This is like the worst-case scenario but definitely made me want to book a hotel instead. Jeneva Rosa always does a great job of telling things from both characters’ perspectives and building the tension. You know someone will end up murdered, but you aren’t entirely sure which one or why. If you enjoy her other books or psychological thrillers, I recommend this.
