Slurp
I love noodles, and I especially love soup noodles, so when I saw an opportunity to review Slurp by Dennis Yen, I had to try it. Slurp offers noodle lovers recipes that will elevate their noodles. I love the title of the cookbook because who doesn’t slurp noodles, right? I’m smitten with the cover art because it’s stunning, simple, modern, and elegant.

There are so many mouthwatering noodle recipes I wanted to try. While I really wanted to try the more labor intensive recipes like Pho, Laksa, Wonton Noodle Soup, I started off with the Cheddar Cheese Noodles mostly because I had all the ingredients on hand. I wasn’t a fan of cheese in my noodle soup, but my children really liked the addition of cheese in theirs. Next, I tried the Beef Chow Fun recipe, and it was excellent. The taste was on-point with how restaurants make them.

The only problem I had was that some rice noodles stuck to my wok but not a big deal. I plan on making the Crispy Shallot Oil because it sounds delicious. I highly recommend anyone who loves Asian noodles to check out this cookbook because the recipes are scrumptious.
